CALLING ALL GROUNDS MANAGERS | END OF SEASON RENOVATIONS WORKSHOP

END OF SEASON RENOVATIONS WORKSHOP | SWYNCOMBE AVENUE | 03 SEPTEMBER 2025

The 2025 season is drawing to a close, it's reached that time of year when all grounds managers are preparing to carry out their End of Season Renovations (EOSR) at their respective grounds.

The Middlesex Pitch Support Network are therefore conducting a EOSR workshop at Middlesex’s home for women and girls cricket at the QEII Ground, Swyncombe Avenue (W5 4DR).

The ground has had major fine turf construction work completed over the last year, a newly laid square, outfield and irrigation system. It’s a big project that will have a huge impact in our ability to grow and enhance the female pathway and women’s team from 2026.

The End of season renovation will be a full square scarification, with ability to ask questions and understand, as well as watch live the works in progress. There is then a reseed and top dress that will be completed, and questions as to loams, fertilisers, machinery, seeds, processes etc are also covered on the day.

Details of the *FREE TO ATTEND* workshop are below:

Venue: QEII Ground, Swyncombe Ave W5 4DR

Date: Wednesday 3rd September

Time: 11am – 4pm (this is open timing for when you wish to attend part of whole day) – different activities through the day depending on which work is being completed at the time.

This is a great opportunity for new and existing grounds managers/staff to visit the ground and take part in the workshop.

We would welcome anyone who is interested in a career in grounds management to attend, as this presents a wonderful opportunity to learn what it's all about.

Our County Pitch Advisors and Facilities Lead will also be on hand to guide and answer any queries you may have on grounds management or facilities development either for your own grounds or for your career in this industry.

We look forward to seeing you later this week.
