Middlesex Disability Cricket is proud to announce its first-ever international pre-season tour, set to take place in Dubai in early 2026.
The ground-breaking tour will see between 18 and 20 players, drawn from both the D40 First and Second Eleven squads, head to the UAE for seven days of elite training and competitive fixtures in the world-class surroundings of the Emirates Sevens Stadium.
Hosted by former Warwickshire legend and current Italy coach, Dougie Brown, the tour will offer a unique blend of high-performance training sessions and competitive matches under the Dubai sun. This initiative marks a major step forward in Middlesex’s ambition to place disability cricket at the forefront of the county game.
This landmark tour has been made possible thanks to the generous support of The Seaxe Club and The Wilf Slack Trust, both of whom have provided significant donations to fund the trip. Middlesex Disability Cricket extends its heartfelt gratitude to these organisations for helping turn this dream into a reality.
Speaking of the tour, Disability Head Coach, Andy Hill, commented:
“This tour gives our players a rare opportunity to train and compete at a world-class venue – something they fully deserve.
With both established and new sponsors supporting us, it’s vital that we deliver performances that reflect the quality and progress of disability cricket within Middlesex.
This tour isn’t just preparation for the 2026 season – it’s a statement of intent. We’re building a future – for Middlesex, for our players, and for disability cricket across the country."
