NOAH CORNWELL SIGNS CONTRACT EXTENSION TO END OF 2027

Middlesex Cricket are today delighted to announce that left-arm pace bowler, Noah Cornwell, has signed a contract extension that will see him remain at the Club until at least the end of the 2027 season.

Cornwell, who turned 21 on Wednesday, came through the Club’s academy and made his professional debut last summer in a Vitality Blast match against Kent. He has appeared in both the County Championship and Metro Bank One-Day Cup since.

This summer, he was the Club’s third-highest wicket taker in the Blast with 15 wickets. He has taken 11 wickets in three Rothesay County Championship matches so far and claimed six in this year’s One-Day Cup, in which the Club made the knockout stages.

In 2024, Cornwell played for England under-19s in a Youth One-Day International series against Sri Lanka, taking two wickets.

On signing his contract extension, Noah Cornwell commented:

“I'm delighted to have signed a new contract with this great club.

“I have loved the last two years and just want to thank everyone who has helped me get to this stage. This new contract means so much to me and to my family.

“I can't wait to embrace the next phase of my Middlesex career with a top bunch of lads and a hugely supportive coaching team.”

Director of Cricket, Alan Coleman, added: “We are delighted to have Noah with us for at least another two summers.

“He is an exciting young prospect and adds great variety to our bowling attack in all three formats of the game.

“Working with our coaching team, he will continue to go from strength-to-strength, and I look forward to seeing him take more wickets for Middlesex in the years ahead.”
