TOBY ROLAND-JONES SIGNS CONTRACT EXTENSION UNTIL AT LEAST END OF 2026

Middlesex Cricket is delighted to announce that seam bowler, Toby Roland-Jones, has signed a contract extension that will see him remain at the Club until at least the end of the 2026 season.

Roland-Jones, 37, had another stellar year this year and took 45 wickets in the Rothesay County Championship – the second-highest wicket-taker in Division Two only behind Luis Reece of Derbyshire.

He has been a great leader of our seam attack this summer too, mentoring the likes of Naavya Sharma and Sebastian Morgan, who both made their red-ball Middlesex debuts in 2025.

In 157 first-class appearances for Middlesex, Roland-Jones has taken 577 wickets at an average of 25.14, claiming 32 five-wicket hauls and has taken 10 wickets in a match on seven occasions.

Speaking of his contract extension, Roland-Jones commented:

“I’m delighted to sign an extension with the club, a place that has been home for 16 years and counting now.

“I remain as motivated as ever to try and push the standards and restore the Club back to its desired position; competing in Division One cricket whilst challenging for white-ball honours.

“It was a privilege to lead this great club, and I’m equally excited to slip back into the bowling ranks and assist the new leadership in any way possible”

Middlesex’s Director of Cricket, Alan Coleman, added:

“It is great to have Toby with us for at least another season.

“He has offered so much with the ball again in 2025 and to see him finish the year among the top wicket-takers in the division once again is extremely pleasing.

“With a number of young bowlers coming through into the professional squad, having a player of Toby’s calibre among the group, bringing his knowledge and experience is really important.”
