2026 VITALITY BLAST FIXTURES RELEASED FOR MEN'S & WOMEN'S COMPETITIONS

2026 VITALITY BLAST FIXTURES RELEASED FOR MEN'S & WOMEN'S COMPETITIONS

Middlesex Cricket can today announce Vitality Blast fixtures for both the men’s and women’s teams ahead of the 2026 season.

Both campaigns will begin on Friday 22nd May with a double-header, which will see our men and women - who begin their title defence - face Kent Spitfires at Lord’s.

This will then be followed by a second double-header two days later - again at Lord’s - with Middlesex Women taking on Leicestershire Foxes ahead of the men’s London derby against Surrey.

Due to the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup next summer, those will be the only two Blast matchdays at Lord’s, with other home fixtures being played at Merchant Taylors’ School - including a third double-header on Sunday 7th June as Middlesex Women face Derbyshire Falcons before the men take on Essex - and Richmond Cricket Club, a venue which Middlesex will return to for the first time since 2019.

With Yorkshire being promoted to Tier 1 of the women's competition, Tier 2 teams will now compete against each other in a singular group, with the top three teams qualifying for Finals Day.

2026 will also see a change in format for the men’s competition. Instead of two groups of nine like in recent years, there are now three regional groups of six.

Middlesex's Men are in group C alongside Essex, Hampshire Hawks, Kent Spitfires, Surrey and Sussex Sharks. Each side will play each other home and away once - making up 10 of the 12 group matches.

In addition to the group fixtures, Middlesex will also play two teams from outside of their group; one at home and one away. Middlesex will travel to Glamorgan on Friday 26th June, whilst Durham will visit Richmond two days later.

For the men, all home matches will take place on either a Friday or a Sunday and three away matches will deviate from that pattern, with games against Surrey and Hampshire Hawks taking place on a Wednesday night, whilst the trip to face Sussex Sharks will take place on a Saturday.

All women’s matches, both home and away are on Fridays or Sundays.

Middlesex’s women finish their group stage on Sunday 5th July against Sussex Sharks, whilst the men finish their group campaign a week later at the St Lawrence Ground, Canterbury against Kent Spitfires.

Women's Finals Day is scheduled for Sunday 12th July at Sophia Gardens, whilst Men's Finals Day will take place at EdgBLASTon the following weekend (Saturday 18th July).
