Congratulations to Middlesex duo Caleb Falconer and Sebastian Morgan, who have both been named in England’s 15-strong squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s Under 19s World Cup in Namibia and Zimbabwe.
Falconer signed his first rookie contract earlier this winter is a bright prospect, while Sebastian Morgan made his professional debut across all three formats in 2025.
Last month, both players toured the Caribbean with the Young Lions in preparation for the World Cup. Falconer was the third-highest run-scorer in the recent series against West Indies – amassing 233 across seven innings, averaging 38.83 with a best score of 52.
This will be Morgan’s second Under 19s World Cup having played in the previous edition.
England begin their campaign against Pakistan on Friday 16 January before matches against Zimbabwe and Scotland, with all three matches to take place at Takashinga Sports Club in Harare. Should they qualify, they will progress to the Super Six stage with the final to be held on Friday 6 February.
England Under 19s Head Coach, Michael Yardy commented:
“This is an amazing opportunity for the players we have selected to not only wear an England shirt at a World Cup but also to go out and try and do something special.
"We have a balanced squad with a core group of players who already have county experience and who have developed a camaraderie while playing together for the U19s that will serve them well during the tournament.
"I really want the players to enjoy the opportunity to play at a World Cup, in a beautiful country like Zimbabwe, and to embrace the chance to compete against different countries and show their quality."
