NAAVYA SHARMA SIGNS CONTRACT EXTENSION UNTIL AT LEAST END OF 2027

Middlesex Cricket is today delighted to announce that pace bowler Naavya Sharma has signed a contract extension at the Club and will remain at Lord’s until at least the end of the 2027 season.

The 20-year-old featured in both the Rothesay County Championship and Vitality Blast during 2025, showing much promise – with his best performance coming in the Championship victory against Leicestershire when he took 4/43 during a sharp spell.

In addition to his First Eleven appearances, Sharma took 13 wickets in the Second Eleven Championship, claiming best figures of 6/25 against Nottinghamshire.

Isleworth-born Sharma is a product of the Middlesex academy having joined at Under 16 level from Berkshire and has also represented England at Under 19 level.

Speaking of his contract extension, Sharma commented:

“I’m delighted to have signed this extension and excited to keep building on last year’s progress, both individually and as a team.

"I would like to thank everyone for their continued trust and support.”

Middlesex’s Director of Cricket Alan Coleman added:

“We are delighted to have Naavya with us for another two summers having shown so much potential during his first year as a professional cricketer.

“With both the red and white ball he has proven that he can make an impact and we are looking forward to seeing what he can produce in the years ahead.

“Naavya has an excellent mentor in Tim Murtagh as well as an experienced seam bowling unit to lean on and learn from. He is eager to continuously improve which is incredibly exciting; the sky is his limit.”
