MIDDLESEX DISABILITY CRICKETERS TRAVEL TO DUBAI THIS WEEKEND FOR TOUR

MIDDLESEX DISABILITY CRICKETERS TRAVEL TO DUBAI THIS WEEKEND

A group of Middlesex Cricket’s disability cricketers are travelling to Dubai on Saturday for their eight-day pre-season tour.

This ground-breaking tour will see 14 players combine training at the world-class Emirates Sevens Stadium – under the watchful eye of Italy Men’s Assistant Head Coach Dougie Brown – with three matches against high-quality opposition.

The first match will take place on Tuesday 3rd March against UAE Men’s Under 19s in a T20 match. This fixture will give the squad the opportunity to test themselves against quality players.

Following that historic fixture, Middlesex will then feature in a 40-over match the following day in a day/night clash against Legends Academy – which will against provide the group with a chance to play a match of equivalent length of those that they play competitively domestically.

Following a rest day, the group will play a final 30-over internal match on Friday 6th March before flying home at the weekend – providing a chance to fine tune any skills before the competitive action begins for the D40 squads and Super 9s in early May.

We at Middlesex in the Community are extremely proud of the work that we do in the disability space and this tour underlines our commitment to developing the game. To this end, we are extremely thankful and grateful to all of our sponsors and patrons for making this tour possible.

The Club will provide updates on the tour progress throughout, so keep an eye on the Middlesex website and social media channels for all the latest.
