MITC HOST SUCCESSFUL ASHES WINNERS DINNER RAISING FUNDS FOR DISABILITY TOUR

Last week, Middlesex in the Community held their inaugural patrons dinner at Balls Brothers in London - raising funds for a ground-breaking disability cricket tour to Dubai.

The evening, hosted by MITC's External Relations Director and England legend Angus Fraser raised over £6,500 by those who attended.

On the night, England Ashes winners Simon Jones and Matthew Prior were the star acts - taking part in a fun Q&A session, looking back at their multiple triumphs both at home and down under.

Later this month, 14 players and three coaches from the Club's disability setup will leave for Dubai and return on 8 March - playing three matches and training at world-class facilities during what will be an unforgettable experience.

There were around a hundred people in the room - made up of MITC patrons and sponsors of the disability squad. MITC would like to thank its patrons along with guests from GRS, Kerry London, Roadstone Ltd and William Sturges for their support. Special thanks go to the Seaxe Club and the Wilf Slack Foundation for their support of the upcoming tour as without their back, it would not be taking place.

In addition to raising funds, MITC used the evening to highlight some of the brilliant work they do within the 17 boroughs that Middlesex represents. Chloe Longdon led this and explained how MITC alongside key stakeholders deliver cricket programmes across the county.

MITC is committed to delivering the best cricket offering it can to the communities of Middlesex and if you would like more information on, or to contribute to what we do, please contact Angus Fraser at [email protected] or donate HERE.

If you would like to become a patron please contact Angus at the above address too.
