


With Middlesex’s 2026 season getting underway in just over a month, all members of the first team squad will be back together at Merchant Taylors’ School to prepare for what is sure to be an exciting season. However, for one last time this winter, we’ve taking a look at the individuals who have been playing overseas in the past month.
Middlesex youngsters Caleb Falconer and Sebastian Morgan finished as runners-up in the 2026 ICC Men’s U19 World Cup, falling to a 100-run defeat to India in the final at Harare. England were undefeated in the six games prior to the final; however, a marvellous knock of 175 from 80 deliveries from India’s Vaibhav Sooryavanshi ended England’s hopes of lifting the trophy for the first time since 1998.
Caleb Falconer, who signed his first contract with Middlesex last year, finished his campaign with 309 runs, at an average of 61.80, including a remarkable century in the final, where he finished on 115 off 67 balls.
Sebastian Morgan, who made his professional debut for Middlesex in July 2025, finished his campaign with nine wickets at an average of 24.78. With the bat, he totalled 46 runs.
Luke Hollman’s second winter with Tea Tree Gully has now concluded. In the red-ball competition, Hollman amassed 237 runs for the side, averaging 29.63. With the ball, he’s taken 16 wickets at an average of 12.63. In the One-Day competition, he took eight wickets in his three appearances. In T20 cricket, he’s took six wickets.
Fast bowler Henry Brookes joined Hollman in Adelaide during the winter, also representing the Bulls. He took eight wickets in his four appearances in the red-ball competition, whilst taking a wicket apiece in both one-day and T20 competitions.
Josh de Caires has finished his second season with Sturt District CC
Josh struck three half-centuries this winter, with two coming in red-ball competition and one in the one-day competition.
Nathan Fernandes finishes his 2025/26 campaign for Port Adelaide with 413 runs across all competitions. The highlight of his winter will be his century against Sturt District in the one-day competition, where he scored 108 off 114 balls, with 11 fours and one six.
Nathan featured three times in the T20 competition, where he scored 122 runs at an average of 61.
In early January, Noah Cornwell travelled to the Gold Coast to represent Burleigh CC. In his short stint down under, Noah featured six times for the Bullsharks, taking 10 wickets at an average of 16.2.
