MATCH PREVIEW | MIDDLESEX V OXFORD UCCE | PRE-SEASON

MATCH PREVIEW | MIDDLESEX V OXFORD UCCE | PRE-SEASON

Preparations for the 2026 season continue for Middlesex Men tomorrow as they take on Oxford UCCE in a three-day friendly at Merchant Taylors' School.

This will be the second of three pre-season matches Peter Fulton's side will play before the 2026 season gets underway in under two weeks' time, with the visit of Gloucestershire to Lord's in the Rothesay County Championship on Friday 3rd April.

Middlesex's first friendly against Hampshire saw Ryan Higgins, Max Holden and Sam Robson all score half-centuries in Southampton. The side that will feature at Merchant Taylors' this week will likely see opportunities given to those who did not feature on the south coast.

Tomorrow's fixture will be the first time Middlesex have faced a university side since our draw with Oxford MCCU at Merchant Taylors' School in 2019.

Play on all three days will commence at 11.00am. Unfortunately, due to this fixture taking place during school term time, this match will be played behind closed doors; however, a live stream will be available for free on Middlesex's YouTube channel for those who wish to watch.

Our pre-season campaign will finish with a trip to Trent Bridge on Sunday for a two-day friendly against Nottinghamshire.
