Middlesex’s final pre-season clash of 2026 gets underway tomorrow with a trip to Trent Bridge to take on reigning county champions, Nottinghamshire, in a two-day friendly.
Leus du Plooy will lead the side that features in the East Midlands as the bowlers will look to get overs in their legs and batters a few runs under their belts, before the County Championship season starts next weekend.
Earlier this week, Middlesex drew with Oxford UCCE in a rain-affected three-day friendly at Merchant Taylors’ School. That game saw three Middlesex players, Josh de Caires, Nathan Fernandes and Aaryan Sawant, score half-centuries. With the ball Tom Helm was the standout bowler with figures of 4-76.
Members and supporters should be aware that our hosts, Nottinghamshire, will not be providing a live stream for this match, however spectators are permitted to enter the ground at Trent Bridge, with play on both days starting at 11am.
