Middlesex Cricket congratulates Leus du Plooy, Caleb Falconer and Max Holden on being purchased during the inaugural men’s Hundred auction yesterday.
The historic auction - which took place at Piccadilly Lights in central London - was the first of its kind in UK sport.
Du Plooy and Holden were snapped up by Manchester Super Giants for £120,000 and £31,000 respectively, whilst Falconer will be involved in his first franchise gig and will be based at the Utilita Bowl as Southern Brave acquired his services for £55,000 following a bidding war against London Spirit.
Having featured for Southern Brave and Welsh Fire previously, du Plooy will make Emirates Old Trafford his home in July and August alongside Holden who featured for Manchester Originals in 2023 and 2024 - playing in the 2023 final at Lord’s.
Ben Geddes, Zafar Gohar, Tom Helm, Ryan Higgins and Luke Hollman all went unsold, but can be selected by the franchises following the Vitality Blast when the Vitality Wildcard picks are made.
The 2026 edition of the Hundred takes place between 21 July and 15 August, with BBC Sport and Sky Sports showing live coverage.
