Middlesex Cricket congratulates Riva Pindoria on being selected in the South Asian Cricket Academy's (SACA) inaugural squad for their women's pilot programme during the 2026 season.
Pindoria is one of 15 names in the squad for the programme - which is being run in collaboration with Take Her Lead - and will begin training immediately, benefiting from a fully-funded programme with one-to-one coach being held across the country with SACA's team of existing elite coaches.
The right-handed batter shone at Lord's in 2025 having scored an unbeaten half-century in the Vitality Blast opener against Sussex Sharks last May - a knock which played a key part in helping Middlesex claim in inaugural Vitality Blast Women's Tier Two crown.
In addition to training, SACA is currently liaising with a number of Professional County Clubs (PCCs) to arrange a fixture list for the upcoming season which will see players put their skills to the test against a number of established women's sides in a competitive playing environment - mirroring the showcase opportunities the SACA men's squad currently benefit from.
Take Her Lead's advisory panel will provide experts in the women's game across areas including strength and conditioning, nutrition and psychology.
Speaking of being included in the squad, Riva Pindoria commented:
"Being named in the inaugural SACA squad for their women's pilot programme is an honour for me and I'm excited to joining such a talented group of cricketers and working with the coaches involved.
"I'd like to thank Middlesex for supporting my development and I can't wait to help the Club push on in 2026 - building on a successful year last year."
Women's Head Coach Marc Broom added:
"This is exciting news for Riva and we are fully behind her development as she looks to continue her growth as a cricketer in the coming year.
"She is a really talented young player with years of experience under her belt already, and this extra cricket through SACA will hopefully enable to take her game to new heights and allow her to gain other insights off the field as well from some of the greats of the women's game."
