Women’s Head Coach, Marc Broom, has named a squad of 13 for this weekend’s Metro Bank One-Day Cup Women’s League Two clash against Gloucestershire at Radlett CC.
Middlesex head into this one off the back of a 10-wicket (DLS) victory against Derbyshire last weekend. Riva Pindoria and Abbie Whybrow starred with the bat as they chased down the rain-affected target of 119 without losing a wicket.
A number of changes have been made for Sunday’s squad with Hannah Francis, Georgia Irving, Anaya Patel and Victoria Solomon coming in to replace Finty Trussler, Gaya Gole, Sarah Pearson and Lauren Turner.
Pippa Sproul is set to have the gloves this weekend over Scarlett Hughes, who joined the club over the winter. Saskia Horley will once again lead the side.
In this fixture last year, Middlesex defeated Gloucestershire by 208 runs. Finty Trussler and Artemis Downer put on a record 242-run partnership for the second wicket before Gaya Gola claimed a five-wicket haul in the second innings.
Gloucestershire head into this one off the back of a six-wicket defeat to Glamorgan, a side who are set to become a Tier One outfit in 2027. Becca Halliday and Georgina Start both stood out with the bat, scoring 49.
Play is scheduled to get underway at 10:30am on Sunday, entry is free for all spectators at Radlett, and the bar will be open. For those who cannot make it, the match will be streamed live for free on YouTube and in the match centre on the Middlesex website.
