Middlesex Women’s Head Coach, Marc Broom, has named a squad of 13 for tomorrow’s Vitality T20 County Cup Round One clash against Kent at Radlett CC.
Middlesex faced Kent in the opening round of the inaugural edition of the competition last year, and despite a half-century from Finty Trussler, Middlesex succumbed to a five-wicket defeat at the hands of the Horses.
Trussler returns to the side, captained by Saskia Horley, after missing out against Gloucestershire in the One-Day Cup last week.
Riva Pindoria and Abbie Whybrow will likely open together again, having scored 190 runs in two matches together so far, Pindoria, yet to be dismissed.
It’s Scarlett Hughes’ turn to have the gloves this weekend. She’ll bat behind Saskia Horley, Issy Routledge and Finty Trussler.
Hannah Davis and Anaya Patel will make up Middlesex’s spin attack this weekend, with Saskia Horley and Issy Routledge standing by to offer support should it be needed.
Middlesex’s seam attack consists of Gaya Gole, Sarah Pearson, Lauren Turner, Katie Alice Whitmore and Katie Wolfe.
Play is scheduled to get underway at 2:15pm tomorrow at Radlett, and entry is free for all spectators. For those who can’t make it, the match will be streamed live on Middlesex’s YouTube channel and on our website in the match centre. You can also follow live across our social media channels.
The winner of this one will host either Cambridgeshire or Hertfordshire in the second round, which is due to be played on Sunday 17th May.
