Middlesex Men’s Head Coach, Peter Fulton, has named a squad of 14 for this weekend’s Rothesay County Championship clash against Durham at Lord’s.
Eathan Bosch goes straight into the matchday squad, having signed for Middlesex earlier this week. The South African bowler will represent the club in all competitions for the remainder of the season. You can find out what he had to say about joining Middlesex by clicking HERE.
Caleb Falconer, who signed a rookie contract with the club over the winter, makes his first matchday squad. The nineteen-year-old all-rounder comes into the squad after consecutive centuries for the second eleven.
Sebastian Morgan returns to the squad after being rested against Northamptonshire two weeks ago. Tom Helm misses out this week.
Sam Robson scored his first century of the campaign against Northamptonshire; he’ll likely be opening the batting at the Home of Cricket this weekend. Leus du Plooy - who will once again captain the side - Max Holden, Ben Geddes, Joe Cracknell and Zafar Gohar all scored half-centuries in Northampton.
Middlesex have a number of options to make up their seam attack, with Eathan Bosch, Caleb Falconer, Ryan Higgins, Sebastian Morgan, Toby Roland-Jones and Naavya Sharma all in the squad.
Zafar Gohar has served the eight-day standdown window after being withdrawn from the game against Northamptonshire due to injury. He will lead the spin attack with support from Josh de Caires, Luke Hollman and Sam Robson.
Durham come into this fixture with two wins and a draw under their belt in the Championship this year. Ben Raine is their leading wicket-taker so far, having claimed 16 victims. Emilio Gay tops the run charts for Durham, with 344 runs so far.
