TOM HELM SIGNS CONTRACT EXSTENSION UNTIL AT LEAST END OF 2027

Middlesex Cricket is today delighted to announce that Tom Helm has signed a contract extension that will see him remain at the Club until at least the end of the 2027 season.

The right-arm seamer, 31, has been a key figure in both red-ball and white-ball cricket for more than a decade – taking over 300 wickets for Middlesex across formats.

In 2025, Helm had a stellar Vitality Blast campaign which saw him finish as the Club’s leading wicket-taker with 20 scalps, picking up best figures of 4/32 against Essex at Chelmsford.

This came off the back of a strong 2024 season which saw him take 23 wickets in the County Championship with a best return of 4/44 against Glamorgan. This was in addition to nine wickets in the Blast.

With a number of young bowlers in Middlesex’s midst, Helm will provide vital support and will be able to pass on his wealth of knowledge to the next generation.

Speaking of his contract extension, Tom Helm commented:

“I’m delighted to have signed a new contract with the club that has given me so much

“It’s a really exciting time to be here, with a new head coach coming in and a real energy building around the squad.

“There’s a strong hunger within the group to succeed, and I’m looking forward to contributing everything I can to help the club push forward.

“I am hugely motivated to improve and perform, and I’m excited about what we can achieve together over the coming seasons.”

Middlesex’s Director of Cricket Alan Coleman added:

“We are thrilled to have Tom with us at Middlesex for at least two years.

“He has been a key player at the Club for a long period of time and still has plenty to offer across all formats.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have him around helping the next crop of young bowlers as we look to build under the new men’s Head Coach, Peter Fulton.”
