Middlesex have named a 13-player squad for this Sunday’s Vitality T20 Women's County Cup against Hertfordshire at Radlett CC
Middlesex will be looking to continue their strong start in the T20 competition, after beating Kent in the last round by 53 runs.
The sides have met regularly in recent seasons before the restructuring of the women's competition, with Middlesex often producing strong performances in the shorter format. They’ll be aiming to carry that consistency into this weekend’s fixture.
There are several options at the top of the order, with Issy Routledge and Artemis Downer likely to open the batting. Both bring attacking intent in the powerplay, while Georgia Irving could provide stability in the top order.
Scarlett Hughes is set to take the gloves as wicketkeeper, with captain Saskia Horley expected to play a key role in the middle order alongside Gaya Gole. Horley’s all-round ability offers flexibility, while the middle order provides a blend of control.
Further depth comes from Sonali Patel and Hannah Francis, giving Middlesex a range of options. Alice Whitmore and Victoria Soloman are also included in the squad and could feature as the side looks to rotate across the competition.
With the ball, Middlesex have a varied attack at their disposal. Seam options are complemented by spin, with multiple players capable of contributing across the innings and adapting to T20 conditions.
Play is scheduled to get underway on Sunday at 2.15pm, with supporters able to gain free entry to Radlett and can follow the action via the match centre.
