Head Coach Marc Broom has named a 13-player squad for Sunday’s Vitality Blast Women’s League 2 clash against Leicestershire Foxes.
Middlesex will be looking to continue their strong start to the competition following an impressive victory over Kent in their opening fixture. Sunday’s match presents another opportunity for Middlesex to build momentum in the early stages of the Vitality Blast campaign.
There are a number of batting options available throughout the squad, with Abbie Whybrow and Pippa Sproul likely to provide intent at the top of the order. Gaya Gole and captain Saskia Horley add further quality and experience near the top, while Artemis Downer and Georgia Irving strengthen the middle order.
Pippa Sproul is set to take the gloves behind the stumps, with Alice Whitmore and Sarah Pearson offering Middlesex additional all-round balance.
With the ball, Middlesex have a varied attack at their disposal, with seam and spin options available throughout the squad. Lauren Turner and Rachana Cambampaty add control and variation, while Layla Judge offers another option within the bowling unit.
Play is scheduled to get underway at 4pm at Lord's.
