Head Coach Marc Broom has named a 13-player squad for tomorrow’s Vitality Blast Women’s League 2 clash against Northamptonshire Steelbacks Women.
Middlesex will be looking to bounce back after suffering defeat in their previous outing, as they continue their Vitality Blast campaign against a Northamptonshire side who have shown their competitiveness in the early stages of the competition. The encounter presents another opportunity for Middlesex to build momentum and return to winning ways in the T20 format.
There are several strong options at the top of the order, with Abbie Whybrow and Scarlett Hughes capable of providing positive intent during the powerplay. Saskia Horley and Issy Routledge offer experience and depth through the middle overs.
Gaya Gole and Pippa Sproul, who is set to take the gloves as wicketkeeper, provide further flexibility within the batting line-up. Gole and Routledge strengthen Middlesex's all-round options and give the side valuable balance heading into the fixture.
With the ball, Middlesex possess a varied attack capable of adapting to different conditions. Katie Wolfe and Lauren Turner provide pace, allowing the side to apply pressure throughout the innings and target key moments in the game.
As Middlesex look to respond positively from their last result, tomorrow's fixture offers another chance for the squad to continue developing throughout the Vitality Blast campaign.
