SQUAD NEWS & MATCH PREVIEW | MIDDLESEX V KENT SPITFIRES & SURREY | VITALITY BLAST

Middlesex’s 2026 Vitality Blast campaign gets underway this weekend with the visits of Kent Spitfires and Surrey to Lord’s.

Men’s Head Coach, Peter Fulton, has named a squad of 13 for both clashes at the Home of Cricket this weekend. Matt Boyle comes straight into the squad after joining the club earlier today. The overseas signing will represent Middlesex for the duration of the Vitality Blast this year.

Adam Rossington, who joined the club for the first six games of the campaign, features in a Middlesex squad for the first time since 2014 and will have the gloves this weekend.

Middlesex will be without Ben Geddes and Naavya Sharma this weekend after their call-up to the England Lions squad. We wish both players all the best as they take on South Africa A in two four-day matches later this month.

Middlesex’s two young all-rounders, Caleb Falconer and Sebastian Morgan, both feature in the squad and will provide captain Leus du Plooy with power-hitting down the order and a variation of bowlers.

Tom Helm, who took 20 wickets last year and was Middlesex’s leading wicket taker in the competition, will likely lead the pace attack this weekend. He’ll have Eathan Bosch, Noah Cornwell and Ryan Higgins in support. Zafar Gohar and Luke Hollman lead the spinners; Josh de Caires and Leus du Plooy are able to offer support should they be needed.

It’s a tough start to the campaign for Middlesex, with both of this weekend’s opponents qualifying for the knockout stages of the Blast last year.

With sunshine forecast across North London, it’s the perfect weather for T20 cricket, and tickets for both games are still available online and can be purchased HERE. Tickets are also available on the day.
