Men’s Head Coach Peter Fulton has named a squad of 13 for this weekend’s Rothesay County Championship clash against Kent in Canterbury.
There is one change from the squad that beat Worcestershire last weekend, with Naavya Sharma coming in to replace Noah Cornwell. The right-arm quick has featured five times in the Championship so far this season, taking 17 wickets.
Middlesex will once again be without Ryan Higgins this week, with the all-rounder being ruled out for two months whilst he recovers from a wrist injury.
Leus du Plooy, who is leading the side, will be looking to continue his form from the first half of the season; he’s struck 600 runs so far this campaign, with two centuries, including an unbeaten 101 last week.
Zafar Gohar also impressed last weekend, taking 6/31 to help his side secure victory at New Road. He’ll lead the spin attack in Canterbury this weekend.
The Division Two table is very tight at the moment, with just four points separating the two sides going into this one. Middlesex are 16 points behind second-placed Northamptonshire. The full table can be viewed below.
