Men’s Head Coach Peter Fulton has named a squad of 14 for tomorrow’s Vitality Blast clash against Essex at Merchant Taylors’ School.
Nathan Fernandes comes into the squad for the first time this season. He’s impressed in the second eleven recently, striking 256 runs in six games so far, including an unbeaten knock of 114 against Hampshire last week.
Noah Cornwell returns from his stint with England Lions; the left-arm quick has five wickets in the Vitality Blast this year. Caleb Falconer, who was called up to the Lions with Cornwell, remains with Freddie Flintoff’s side and is not available tomorrow afternoon.
Leus du Plooy’s side will be looking to continue their run of results against Essex, having defeated them in both meetings last season.
Middlesex currently occupy fifth place in the South Group, with one win so far this campaign; our visitors are in fourth place.
Play is scheduled to get underway at 3:30 tomorrow afternoon; the game makes up the second part of a double-header at Merchant Taylors’ School, with Middlesex Women taking on Derbyshire Falcons Women from 11:30am.
Tickets are still available for tomorrow’s double-header and can be purchased by clicking HERE. We would like to remind all spectators that Merchant Taylors’ School is a cashless ground.
