SQUAD NEWS & MATCH PREVIEW | SURREY V MIDDLESEX | VITALITY BLAST

Men’s Head Coach Peter Fulton has named a squad of 14 for tomorrow’s Vitality Blast clash against Surrey at The Kia Oval.

Ben Geddes is the only addition to an otherwise unchanged squad from our defeat to Hampshire Hawks on Sunday. He returns following a stint with England Lions in their two-game series against South Africa A. Naavya Sharma, who also featured for England Lions, will not feature tomorrow evening.

Leus du Plooy’s side will be looking for revenge after Surrey came out victors in the reverse fixture at Lord’s 10 days ago. Sam Curran’s unbeaten knock of 71 was enough to see his side to a six-wicket win at the Home of Cricket.

Max Holden and Adam Rossington will likely open up for Middlesex in the London Derby. The pair are first and second in the run charts for the Seaxes so far this competition. Josh de Caires, who scored an unbeaten 80 in Hove on Saturday night, will likely bat at three.

With Geddes’ return to the squad, Fulton may look to mix up his middle order, with du Plooy, Falconer, Higgins and Hollman all making the trip South of the River.

Tom Helm and Noah Cornwell will likely lead the seam attack tomorrow night, with Eathan Bosch, Blake Cullen, Ryan Higgins and Sebastian Morgan available for support. Zafar Gohar and Luke Hollman will be Middlesex’s spinners.

Middlesex currently occupy fifth place in the South Group, with four points. Our opponents sit in third place with eight points.

Play is scheduled to get underway at 6:30pm tomorrow. The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports. You can also stay up to date across our social media channels throughout the evening.
