Middlesex in the Community (MITC) is the charitable arm of Middlesex Cricket. We use the power of cricket to inspire, educate and improve lives across Middlesex, creating opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with the game.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Partnership Manager to lead our Chance to Shine Schools programme and help expand cricket participation throughout the county.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing sustainable partnerships, supporting schools and communities, and ensuring that every young person has access to high quality cricket opportunities.
The Job:
As Partnership Manager, you will lead the delivery and development of the Chance to Shine Schools programme across Middlesex. You will build strong relationships with schools, local authorities, community organisations and sporting partners, ensuring that cricket remains accessible, inclusive and impactful for young people throughout the county.
You will also manage programme delivery, budgets and staff while contributing to the wider strategic objectives of Middlesex in the Community.
Mandatory Duties:
- Ensuring all safeguarding measures are adhered to for role duties that involve working with children, young people and adults at risk, as detailed in Safe Hands and Middlesex Cricket's safeguarding policies, codes, and procedures.

Main duties:
- Lead and manage Chance to Shine Schools delivery throughout the county.
- Support with management of the relationship with Chance to Shine and work to develop and improve our offering of their programme, particularly in schools with high proportion of free school meals.
- Ensure the recording portal is updated, coaches are allocated to schools, scheduled appropriately and any other responsibilities the programme management requires – covering gaps where needed.
- Manage the Chance to Shine budget and report to the SPM on this.
- Develop new relationships within the areas specified to ensure MITC provides a leading community offering and brings in additional revenue.
- Strengthen relationships through community, school and club events and visits where appropriate.
- Manage three colleagues at Community Coach or Officer level.
- Manage relevant MITC Apprentices and the Apprenticeship Programme, if this takes place.
- Support the running of SCAM, working with the MITC Competitions Officer.
- Work with the SPM to manage Community Coach schedules and ensure high standards of delivery.
- Work alongside MITC Partnership Managers to ensure a leading community offer in Middlesex.
- Support the MITC Head of Cricket Operations to develop women and girls cricket opportunities.
- Increase the number of people engaging in cricket at in schools in Middlesex.
- Contribute to the MITC fundraising strategy and represent MITC where required at events.
- Contribute to the schools aspects of the activation strategy of London Cricket Trust Sites
- Be responsible areas of the County Partnership Agreement, reporting to the SPM / Head of Cricket Operations as appropriate.
- Undertake any other responsibilities as directed by MITC.
Person Specification
Essential Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in sports development, community engagement, education, charity programme delivery, partnership management or a similar role.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience supervising, coordinating or line managing staff, coaches, apprentices, volunteers or contractors.
- Experience of managing partnerships with schools, local authorities, community organisations, sports bodies or other external stakeholders.
- Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating programmes against agreed objectives, budgets and deadlines.
- Experience of managing or monitoring programme budgets and reporting on expenditure, performance and impact.
- Experience of working with children and young people in a school, sporting, youth work or community setting.
- Experience of maintaining accurate records, using data systems and preparing reports for internal or external stakeholders.
