FREE CLEVELAND CLINIC LONDON HEART HEALTH CHECKS AVAILABLE AT LORD'S ON 2 AUGUST

The Club’s official healthcare provider, Cleveland Clinic London, will once again be providing free heart health checks to Members and spectators at our Metro Bank One-Day Cup clash against Yorkshire at Lord’s on Sunday 2nd August.

Cleveland Clinic London is a world-class hospital that’s part of a globally renowned health system, known for its clinical excellence, patient safety, and strong outcomes.

Guided by a “Patients First” philosophy, the hospital delivers personalised, evidence-based care supported by advanced technology, research, and education.

Its state-of-the-art facilities include 184 inpatient beds, 29 ICU beds, 8 operating theatres, 21-day case rooms, and a comprehensive neurological rehabilitation suite, along with outpatient centres in the City of London and Harley Street medical area.

Cleveland Clinic London will be offering two heart health checks for members, and an additional test available for non-member spectators, all available as a drop-in service, with no appointments necessary.

Details of the free heart health checks available for members are as follows:

Available in the Committee Room inside the Lord's Pavilion, from 11 am until 3 pm.

Electrocardiogram (ECG): An ECG is a quick and non-invasive test that records the electrical activity of your heart. It helps assess your heart’s rhythm and rate, and can detect signs of irregular heartbeats, previous heart attacks, or other underlying heart conditions. An ECG provides valuable insights that may prompt further investigation if any abnormalities are identified.

Blood Pressure Monitoring: Blood pressure is an important indicator of cardiovascular health and naturally fluctuates throughout the day in response to factors like stress, physical activity, and rest. Monitoring blood pressure helps identify high or low readings that may warrant lifestyle changes, further testing, or treatment.

We urge members to drop in for a free heart health check.

Colin, 55, who has been a member of Middlesex for 21 years, visited the pop-up clinic inside the Pavilion last year, and said:

"For the Club to be able to provide such a service to its members on a match day was brilliant - for it to be free was even better. I barely missed any of the game and was in and out in no time. It was also pleasing to be given a clean bill of health, which gave me great peace of mind. Huge thanks to all who arranged this and thanks also to the very professional and efficient staff at the Cleveland Clinic London, who were warm, friendly and made me feel really comfortable."

Details of the free heart health check available for non-member spectators is as follows:

Available in the Nursery Pavilion, from 11 am until 3 pm.

Cardiac Health Test: The Cleveland Clinic London team will use a mobile ECG app to perform a single-lead ECG to assess your heart’s rhythm and rate, along with a blood pressure measurement for a general look at your cardiac health.

We would encourage all spectators to drop in for a free heart health check.

Middlesex Cricket would like to pass on our thanks to all at Cleveland Clinic London for providing our members and supporters with this important healthcare service.
