HENRY BROOKES TO JOIN GLOUCESTERSHIRE FROM END OF 2026 SEASON

Middlesex Cricket can today confirm that right-arm fast bowler Henry Brookes will leave Middlesex at the end of the 2026 season to join Gloucestershire.

Solihull-born Brookes joined the club from Warwickshire ahead of the 2024 season and has featured 37 times for Middlesex across the three formats, taking 64 wickets in that time; of which 17 came in last year’s Metro Bank One-Day Cup, which helped his side reach the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time since 2019.

Brookes joined the Bristol-based club on loan earlier this season, but returned to Middlesex after one game after sustaining an injury.

Speaking of Brookes’ departure, Director of Cricket, Alan Coleman, said:

“We would like to thank Henry for all he has done in his time at the club.

“The emergence of our young group of bowlers has limited his opportunities recently, but he has always given his all for the club and has been an asset to our group.

“He remains a key member of our playing group for the remainder of this season.

“We wish Henry all the best in the next stages of his career.”
