Head Coach Marc Broom has named a 13-player squad for Tuesday's invitational T20 fixture against the SCG XI at Lord's, as Middlesex Women take to the Main Ground for a special occasion at the Home of Cricket.
The fixture forms part of the Sydney Cricket Ground XI's tour of England, with the Australian tourists facing both Middlesex Women and MCC during their visit to Lord's. Middlesex's clash will get the day underway at 11am before MCC take on the SCG XI later in the afternoon, making it a fantastic opportunity for supporters to enjoy a full day of cricket.
Representing one of Australia's most historic sporting institutions, the SCG XI has a proud tradition of touring both at home and overseas, bringing together players connected to the Sydney Cricket Ground and its membership. Their visits provide a unique opportunity for clubs to test themselves against quality opposition while celebrating the long-standing links between two of cricket's most famous grounds.
For Middlesex, tomorrow's match is another valuable opportunity to continue the development of a talented squad that blends experience with an exciting group of emerging players. Several members of the side have progressed through the Middlesex pathway in recent seasons, and fixtures such as this provide an ideal platform for the Club's next generation to gain valuable experience in senior colours on one of the biggest stages in the game.
Middlesex will be captained by Riva Pindoria, with Scarlett Hughes taking the gloves behind the stumps. The squad also includes Georgia Irving, Layla Judge, Hannah Francis, Sarah Pearson, Dia Nair, Siya Nanavati,Victoria Solomon, Alice Whitmore, Artemis Downer and Prabseerat Mangat, offering Marc Broom a strong blend of batting, bowling and all-round options.
With warm weather forecast and T20 cricket on offer, supporters are encouraged to come along and back Middlesex Women in what promises to be an entertaining afternoon. Whether you're a regular follower of the women's side, a Middlesex member, or simply looking to enjoy a day at Lord's, this fixture provides the perfect opportunity to watch some of the county's brightest young talent alongside established performers.
Play is scheduled to get underway on the Main Ground at 11:00am, before MCC take on the SCG XI later in the day.
With temperatures forecast to reach 30°C, Lord's will be relaxing the Pavilion dress regulations regarding jackets for tomorrow's matchday, as the forecast meets the threshold for dispensing with jackets. Please note that all other Pavilion dress regulations remain in place, including the requirement to wear a tie.
Members and supporters are encouraged to pass this information on to family and friends who are planning to attend.
Please also note that members wishing to bring guests into the ground will need to purchase a £5 ground admission ticket for each guest. Season Guest Passes are not valid for this fixture. Middlesex Members are permitted to sign one guest into the Pavilion.
