Middlesex Women have named a 12-player squad for their upcoming fixture against Leicestershire Women, with the two sides set to meet at Kibworth CC this Sunday, with play getting underway at 10:30am.
Middlesex will be looking to produce another strong all-round performance as they continue their campaign, with the squad eager to put together a positive display on the road and build further momentum.
There is plenty of quality throughout the Middlesex batting line-up, with Artemis Downer set to provide a strong option at the top of the order alongside Scarlett Hughes, who will also take the gloves. Ariana Dowse adds further experience and quality to the batting unit, while captain Finty Trussler, Issy Routledge and Abbie Whybrow provide further depth through the middle order.
Dowse returns to the Middlesex group on a one-week loan from Essex, having previously spent time with the club on a similar short-term arrangement last season. The wicketkeeper-batter is therefore already familiar with the Middlesex setup and coaching staff, making her return a seamless one.
The right-hander enjoyed an impressive spell with Middlesex last season, most notably scoring 92 against Leicestershire in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup. She shared a superb 185-run partnership with Saskia Horley in that fixture, helping Middlesex to a commanding victory.
The Middlesex bowling attack offers a balanced mix of options. Layla Judge, Hannah Davis, Rachana Cambampaty and Lauren Turner provide a variety of bowling choices, with Katie Wolfe also included in the 13-player squad as Middlesex look to maintain pressure throughout Leicestershire's innings.
With a talented squad available and another opportunity to collect valuable points, Middlesex will be determined to deliver a disciplined and confident performance when they take on Leicestershire at Kibworth Cricket Club this Sunday.
