Richard Sykes, today announced that Middlesex County Cricket Club has begun the process for appointing a new chair and that he will step down as Chairman once that process is complete, following more than a decade of service on the Board.
Richard joined the Board in 2016 and has served as Chairman since 2023. During his tenure, he has played a key role in navigating the Club through significant change, working to stabilise the organisation and initiating a series of reviews designed to ensure that Middlesex is set up for the long term.
Richard Sykes said: "It has been a privilege to serve as Chairman of Middlesex County Cricket Club. Having helped to steady the Club through a period of considerable change, I believe this is the right moment to pass on the baton. We will commence the process of appointing a new Chair immediately, with a nominations committee formed in the coming weeks. I would like to thank everyone at Middlesex - my fellow directors, the executive team, our staff, players, coaches, members and supporters - and I wish the Club every success in the seasons ahead."
