Match One Result – Glamorgan win by 32 runs

SCORECARD

Glamorgan took control on game one of the day from the off, and having won the toss and chosen to bat- the hosts took full advantage.

An incredible 111 run opening partnership between Donald and Brown gave put them in the driving seat by the half way point in the innings, and although Donald and Brown both eventually went for 68 and 70 respectively, this did not prevent Glamorgan from amounting a imposing total of 207-5 for Middlesex to chase down.

Martin Andersson opened the batting, and despite wickets falling around him throughout Middlesex’s reply at regular intervals, Andersson remained at the crease for the entirety of the innings.

Andersson put on an outstanding 105 not out, but with the next highest total being Robbie White’s 25- Middlesex always looked like falling short of Glamorgan’s impressive total with the bat.


Match Two Result – Middlesex win by 7 wickets

SCORECARD

Middlesex got off to a much improved start to match two, and managed to pick up 3 early wickets fielding first to reduce Glamorgan to 30-3 after 4 overs.

These early losses were compounded further by the end of the 11th over, as Middlesex had managed to take two more scalps to leave the hosts on 85-5.

Selman, who opened the batting, stood strong for Glamorgan, and he was able to guide them towards a very respectable total of 174-6 by the close. Martin, Cullen & Rogers each took two wickets for the visitors.

Lace & Andersson went about chasing the total down impressively, and were able to put on 76 runs before the loss of Lace from a Run Out in the 10th over.

Andersson kicked on again however, and with Robbie White, the two were able to bring victory within sight.

After Andersson went for 64, White batted out the rest of the overs with Cracknell and then Lincoln, and with 7 wickets in hand Middlesex were about to surpass Glamorgan’s total with 2 deliveries to spare.
