MIDDLESEX CRICKET WIN WE INVEST IN APPRENTICES GOLD AWARD

Middlesex Cricket are delighted to have received the prestigious We Invest in Apprentices Gold Award.

The accreditation is awarded to organizations that have created a framework for apprentices – making sure that they hire an apprentice for the right reason, treat them right, create strong relationships and help them reach their full potential.

This award will enable us to stand out from other apprentice employers and allow us to receive continued support to help us improve our apprenticeship programmes moving forward.

Since the end of 2014, Middlesex have recruited over 25 apprentices within the Club’s participation team, helping to deliver our community initiatives. Of those, all bar three apprentices have gone on to secure full-time roles at the Club.

Katie Berry, Middlesex Cricket’s Director of Participation and Safeguarding, said: “We are incredibly proud to be awarded the Invertors in People Gold Award for our Apprenticeship programme here at Middlesex Cricket.

“Apprentices bring energy, passion and valuable insight to the company which enables Middlesex Cricket to reach more your people to positively impact their lives and their communities.

“Our apprentices are a key and valued part of the Middlesex Cricket family and we congratulate them on all their successes.”

Jenny Goward, HR Director at JJG HR Solutions, added: “Middlesex Cricket are to be congratulated on achieving a Gold Award in their first We Invest in Apprentices assessment.

“The commitment of the club to their apprentices is huge and they provide fantastic opportunities for both professional and personal development for all their apprentices.

“They show a lot of care and support to ensure that people achieve their potential, and I was really impressed with their professional approach to apprenticeships. People are really valued as key members of their team and are given lots of interesting work to get stuck into.”
