Job Title: Assistant Partnership Manager (Cricket Cities)
Reports to: Partnership Manager (Cricket Cities)
Location: Hybrid; Lord’s Cricket Ground, MICS (Finchley), various venues around Middlesex
Up to 30% of role will be spent coaching
Administrative days to be completed at an MITC office
Contract Term: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: Up to £27,500 per annum
Purpose of the Job:
You will play an important role in ensuring that there is a comprehensive cricket offer accessible to young people from ethnically diverse communities and focus on participation growth through community engagement, creating sustainable partnerships with local authorities, grassroots organisations and other sporting bodies to ensure we have a sustainable and inclusive community offer across the county.
Main duties:
To undertake the duties below alongside the MITC Partnership Manager who has responsibility for the following areas and partnerships:
- Brent, Ealing, Haringey, Hackney, Islington and Tower Hamlets
- Lead and manage relationships with the ‘Middlesex Mavericks’ and their participation in the Middlesex Development League & London City Cup
- Assist with identification and delivery of non-traditional participation programmes for someone as young as 5 years old and extending upto young adults.
- This role requires an average of 30% community coach delivery and 70% administrative support to the MITC Partnership Manager.
Administrative Support
- Work with schools and clubs within the Cricket Cities target boroughs
- Manage MiTC’s Cricket Cities programmes through communication with parents, venues, coaches and other key stakeholders.
- Actively support the transition between schools, clubs and community offers
- Assist the MITC Partnership Manager with the Cricket Cities initiatives, ensuring we make cricket a game for all in London.
- Assist the MITC Partnership Manager with arranging inclusion events across Middlesex.
Community Coaching
- Ensure high standards of coaching and organise community-based/school competitions across all MITC delivery.
- To organize and deliver coaching sessions in Infant, Primary, Secondary schools, Colleges and Universities across Middlesex.
- Lead on the delivery of All Stars and Dynamo’s cricket sessions.
- To link all school and community activity to exit routes whether traditional or non-traditional.
- To support the delivery of MITC team community events and Middlesex Cricket Matchday activation.
- To assist & lead coaching at Street Hubs across Middlesex as directed by the Cricket Cities Partnership Manager.
- To coordinate with the MITC Partnership Manager & deliver National Programmes in Cricket Cities boroughs.
- To champion Middlesex Crickets participation offers to our key stakeholders and at engagement events
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Good understanding of cricket and knowledge of the pathway structure.
- Understands the EDI landscape and championed inclusion in a community or sport setting
- Has worked in a community setting and creative in their approach to community engagement
- Can maintain and manage data, conduct surveys and produce reports to MiTC funders
- Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
- Ability to build and create new relationships.
- Being a self-starter and have the ability to motivate others.
- Good IT skills and experience of using MS Platforms.
- Has produced and delivered events to promote or gain visibility of programmes
- Conducting Risk Assessments for new programmes and adapting sessions for place-based and community-specific participation
- Ability to write funding bids for external grants towards our community-based cricket programmes
