FOUR MIDDLESEX DISABILITY PLAYERS NAMED IN ENGLAND LIONS SQUAD

Four Middlesex Cricketers named in England Lions Learning Disability squad

At the England Cricket Centre in Loughborough last weekend England held an Identification Day where they put county disability players through their paces - to ultimately select the England Lions Learning Disability Squad for the coming season.

Middlesex's Disability Head Coach, Michael Wilson, was in attendance, as five of his young Middlesex cricketers were on trial for selection on the day!

This week England Cricket named their England Lions Disability Lions squad, which thankfully included four of the Middlesex cricketers who trialled last weekend.

All four Middlesex players will join the England Lions Learning Disability squad for the coming season, where they'll have the chance to put their skills to the test on the international stage.

Middlesex Cricket would like to pass on our congratulations to M. Henderson, J. Charan, B. Mason and K. Sainsbury on their selections for England Lions.

This latest England Disability international selection process now sees Middlesex Cricket with nine players involved in the England Disability set-up - with two in the full England Disability squad, 3 in the Physical Disability England Lions squad and 4 in the Learning Disability England Lions squad

Michael Wilson, Head Coach, commented:

"I am extremely proud of all the players involved and would like to take this opportunity to thank Middlesex Cricket for the huge amount of support they have given to the Participation and County Disability Programmes. Without this level of support, none of this would have been possible".
