Lucy moved up the order to open. She worked extremely hard on her batting to develop different scoring options, showing great character and determination in the off season. She had an impressive season, scoring 279 runs at an average of 25.36 including her maiden half-century. She was asked to bowl less than in previous seasons but nevertheless managed to pick up nine wickets.
